Arizona Coyotes Playoff History
The Arizona Coyotes team was formed in 1972 and was originally called the Winnipeg Jets. However, after NHL took over, they changed the name to Phoenix Coyotes in 1996 and, finally, as we now know them, Arizona Coyotes in 2014.
Despite having ups and downs in their management, the team has pulled through and will be playing its 43rd season for the National Hockey League (NHL). The Gila River Arena has been the home of the Coyotes since 2003; however, Glendale City has decided not to renew its operations with the team.
The team is coached by Andre Tourigny and does not have a captain. As a hockey team, they dream to make it to the playoffs, so they have a chance at championships. The Arizona Coyotes playoff history includes 20 playoffs, but unfortunately, the AZ Coyotes playoffs never resulted in a championship victory. They missed the playoffs in the 2020-21 season.
